Plug & Play replacement immobiliser for the Meta M36T2 unit fitted to many Lotus models. Simple plug & play installation, simply locate the old M36T2 unit unplug it & plug in the replacement kit, fit the LED & away you go (The LED is an easy fit item which sticks to the inside of the windscreen, no holes to drill).
This BLE replacement system works with the original M99 alarm system, the immobiliser is automatically disarmed once the BLE fob is in range & automatically immobilises when out of range, this all works automatically no buttons to press (For operation timings see below), just carry the BLE fob in a pocket & use the original fobs to arm & dis-arm the alarm system, once in the car the immobiliser will automatically dis-arm allowing the car to start & run. If still fitted the M99 alarm will function as normal.
Supplied with one B9.5 ID tag, choose above to add a second tag. To add a Tag at a later date the complete system will need to be sent back to Abacus Car Alarms for re-programming (£125 charge plus return post to code one extra B9.5 tag, £99 per B9.5 to program more tag(s) at the same time)
Programable Options:
Auto Option (Supplied As Standard): One or both the ID tags can be programmed to auto disarm, which means when the tag is in the BLE detection area the immobiliser will automatically disarm & if wired to the doors they will unlock.
Manual Option (Free Option): One or both the Tag(s) can be programmed to mannually operate the immobiliser, which means the B9.5 Tag button needs to be pressed to diasarm the immobiliser and if wired to the doors they will unlock. If after 60 seconds the car has not been started or the car's ignition switch has been turned off after driving the vehicle the immobiliser will automatically arm & if wired the doors will lock.
If purchasing the kit with two ID Tags you can choose whether each fob has either of the above functions. (If both fobs are programmed to function manually the free Faraday bag is not supplied) Please choose carefully as this is a programable option, if a change of functions is required at a later date the whole kit will need to be sent back for re-programming (£50 reprogramming charge + post)
Optional Automatic locking/unlocking:
Optional automatic locking/unlocking of the vehicle doors option. If chosen the optional central locking control unit can be added, this will automatically unlock & lock the doors when the ID-Tags are in & out of range, no need to press the button on the fob (Unless the manual mode has been chosen for the fob in use). This completely replaces the the alarm system, as such you will only have automatic remote locking/unlocking. This option simply plugs into the supplied BLE unit, Please note this option cannot be retro fitted, once the standard kit is sent it cannot be upgraded to remote locking. (Auto locking/unlocking only functions if the ID tag used is set to fully automatic mode, in manual mode the doors will unlock when the ID Tag's button is pressed, the doors will lock 60 seconds after the ignition has been turned off )
How the system works.
After the ignition switch has been switched off:
Once the ID-Tags are out of range the immobiliser will automatically arm, meaning the car cannot be started. The arming occurs 35 seconds after the ID-Tag is out of range which is 10Mtrs approx. Once out of range the 'Operation LED' will constantly flash indicating the immobiliser is active
Once the ID-Tag is in range the immobiliser will disarm allowing the vehicle to be started, disarming occurs 5 seconds after the ID-Tag is in range, for disarming is 5Mtrs approx. The 'Operation LED' will stop flashing & the vehicle can now be started
Complete With Free Farady Bag (prevents wireless connection between ID-Tag & immobiliser unit, supplied item may be different to one shown in photo - Faraday bag not supplied if all the ID Tages are set to manual mode)
