Plug and Play Defcom3.1b alarm kit for the Husqvarna Nordon 901 motorcycle, simple plug & play fitting. This alarm kit is the factory option for the Nordon 901. The kit comes with our basic fitting kit which includes a plug-in seat sensor, cable ties & Velcro mounting pads, (theHusqvarna fitting kit available directly formHusqvarna, not necessary unless you want originality) Also included are two precoded fobs, alarm beeps activated & the sleep timer has been extended to 20 days (more info below)
This kit is supplied with the latest version of the Defcom alarm series, the Defcom3.1b, this unit encompasses Bluetooth technology allowing the use of a ID Tag remote fob, this allows the alarm to automatically arm & dis-arm without having to use the fob, as long as the ID Tag is within 10 metres of the alarm unit. This unit functions in exactly the same way as the earlier DefcomT & Defcom3 models when used without the ID Tag remote fob. Choose above to upgrade one of the standard fobs to the ID tag unit.
This kit includes two remote fobs pre-programmed to the alarm (including the ID'tag if chosen), the alarm is also programmed to be fully 'awake' for up to 480 hours (20 days), this means when the alarm is armed & not used after 20 days (or if the battery falls below a set level) it will go into sleep mode, meaning after this time the alarm will no longer function should the bike be moved, as standard the Defcom3.1b will only last for 5 days before entering sleep mode. The alarm will also be pre-programmed to beep when arming & disarming via the fobs. This service is included with all the Defcom3.1b's supplied by Abacus Car Alarms.
Alarms purchased from other vendors (includingHusqvarna) will be pre-programmed for 5 days before shutting down, also the fobs will not be pre-programmed & the beep on arm/disarm will not sound. This is all included when purchased form Abacus Car Alarms
ID Tag Option:
If choosing the ID Tag the 'Auto Arm' option above can also be added & will function seamlessly with the ID Tag (Auto-Arm option can also be added if using the standard fobs, but the alarm will need to disarmed every time you want to move or use the bike - can be put into service mode so the alarm will not interfere when servicing the vehicle), the alarm will automatically disarm when the Tag is within 10 metres of the alarm unit. Please note if the alarm is armed by pressing either the standard fob or ID tag button it will also need to be disarmed using the button, it will not automatically disarm even when using the ID Tag. When using the Tag button there is usually a 3 secound delay, this is normal, when using the Tag normally there will be no such delay, there is no delay when using the standard fobs.
The ID tag & any programmable options can only be added when ordering a new Defcom3.1b, if required at a later date the alarm unit complete with all fobs will need to be returned to us for re-programming, extra charges will be incured. The TXM252 or HPA Evo fobs can be added at any time using the 5 digit override code
